At the November 2, 2015 Town Council meeting, the public had an opportunity to give their input in the Council’s consideration of new water and sewer rates for the Storm Haven residents during the public hearing.  As a result, Daniel Resolution DR 2015-11-02B was passed setting forth the rates adopted by the Council.  A copy of the resolution will be included with the December 1st water bills.  In a nutshell, the base rate for 8,000 gallons of water was raised from $27.00 to $35.00 per month with a schedule set out in the resolution for overuse charges.  The base rate for those on the sewer system was raised from $9.00 to $16.00 per month.  These new rates take effect with the next billing cycle reflecting charges for November usage.  We appreciated comments from those who attended and look forward to serving residents in the Storm Haven area with the beginnings of an improved water system.
