Short Title: Resolution to contract with an independent auditor

Purpose: To contract with an independent auditor for financial services to comply with Utah State Auditor requirements for financial auditing Fiscal year 2008-09

Resolution: Whereas, the Town’s General Operations Budget exceeded $100,000 for fiscal year 2008-09,

And whereas the Utah State Auditor’s office requires an independent audit for each year that the town’s revenues or expenditures budget exceeds $100,000,

And whereas, the Town desires to comply with UCA §10-5-129 which requires a town clerk to present an annual financial report to the Town Council within 180 days after the close of the fiscal year,

Now the Daniel Town Council resolves to contract with an independent auditor to perform an independent audit for fiscal year 2008-09.

The Daniel Town Council having received and considered a proposal from Certified Public Accountant firm __________________________,
Hereby approves and authorizes its mayor to sign and enter into a contract with this firm for the purpose of fulfilling the Town’s auditing requirements and may contract for other financial services as necessary with this firm.
