Clerk/Recorder Position Opening

Daniel Town is seeking dynamic applicants for a Clerk/Recorder position. It is currently part-time with work hour flexibility. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: receiving the public and providing information, general secretarial support to the Mayor and Town Council, preparing agendas and materials for Council meetings, attending and taking minutes of meetings, maintaining essential permanent records for the Town, responsibility for proper noticing for all types of Town functions, monitoring compliance with state laws, receiving and validating Town bills, and monitoring the Town budget. Desirable skills include: ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing), ability to work independently, knowledge of office procedures, computer literacy and knowledge of basic programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint), operate standard office equipment, proficient communication skills.
