Meeting Minutes

Quorum Present: Council members: Eric Bunker, John Glodowski, Stefanie Grady. Jon Blotter absent. Mayor Turner excused for CDBG meeting. Sherri Price/Treasure present as well as Mary Snyder/Clerk to record minutes. Meeting called to order at 6:02PM.

Members of the public in attendance: Shelly Bunker, Randy Upton, Mary Ellen Upton, Ryan Taylor, Pam Skinner, Nick Givens, Julie Givens, Jamie McAllister and Mark McAllister.

1) Public Comment concerning issues (limit 2 minutes):
No public comments were made.

2) BUSINESS LICENSE RENEWALS/APPLICATIONS:
New license: Out West Accounting & Tax Services and Given’s Grooming, LLC.
Renewal license: Coleman Trucking, Classic Beauty Supply, Wes’s Auto Shop, Full Scope Dewing, LLC, and Computer Nerds, Inc.

Given’s Grooming approved with a limit of 10 dogs per day.

Council member Glodowski made a motion to approve all renewal and new business licenses, seconded by Council member Grady. All members in favor.

3) Approval of DR-2019-2-4A:
Council member Grady made a motion to approve DR-2019-2-4A to adopt a modified building permit extension, seconded by Council member Glodowski. All members in favor.

4) PLANNING DEPARTMENT REPORTS, VIOLATIONS, & ENFORCEMENT:
Daniel Irrigation meeting is being held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Senior Center.
There is an Interlocal meeting at 7pm, February 21, 2019at the Chamber of Commerce Building.

5) DANIEL MUNICIPAL WATER:
No issues as this time.

6) STORM HAVEN WATER:
Ryan Taylor stated that we have three bids for the Well project in Storm Haven. The lowest bidder is Lang Equipment. The original funding awarded the Town for the project from CDBG is around $330,000.00. Lang Equipment bid the project for $346,360.00 and would like to request a change order in hopes that the contractor will accept based on awarded funds.

Council member Glodowski made a motion to award Lang Equipment the bid with the change order to lower estimate to the original funding amount, if approved by contractor, seconded by Council member Grady. All members in favor.

7) APPROVAL OF COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES: JANUARY 7, 2019:
Council member Glodowski motion to approve the meeting minutes for January 7, 2019, seconded by Council member Grady. All members in favor.

8) RECORDERS OFFICE: WARRANTS APPROVAL, ANNOUNCEMENTS, ETC.:
Council member Grady made a motion to approve the warrants with addition of Wasatch County for snow removal in the amount of $5924.00, seconded by Council member Glodowski. All members in favor.
