Meeting Minutes

March 21, 2007

Quorum:  Eric Bunker, Francis Smith, Mike Averett, Lynn

Crisler, John Blotter

Eric Bunker called the meeting to order and asked if there was any public comment. There was none.

  1. Tod Johnson Building Permit

Tod Johnson, 30 E 3000 S, applied for a building permit to add a garage. The garage will be connected to his

House. There was discussion on the arrangement of The garage on his lot.  Francis Smith asked for a site Plan to scale.

Motion – Lynn Crisler

To approve the Building Permit contingent on receiving a scale drawing that includes

Lot dimensions

Street location

Existing and proposed building and utility

Improvements

Passed unanimously

  1. Jeff Webb Building Permit

Jeff Webb, 755 W 3000 S, applied for a building permit

For an addition to his residence. There was discussion on the addition. Francis Smith  asked for

A site plan to scale.  He stated that it would be good policy to require one with the application materials.

Motion – Lynn Crisler

To approve with the condition that an accurate

To scale site plan be submitted before permit

Is issued.

Passed unanimously

Administrative Issues

RA-a5 Review

Eric Bunker reminded the Board Members that

He had passed out a copy of the RA-5 zoning

Code at the last meeting and asked the members

To review it and bring any revisions to this meeting.

He asked for comments from the Board.

They discussed the amount of frontage for lots.

Zone Map

Eric Bunker explained that there were 3 questions

He had with the zone map.

The Suburban Propane lot s/b commercial

The lot across from Wagstaff’s s/b RA-5

The lot across from Bunker’s s/b industrial

There was discussion on the 3 lots and there

Current uses and possible future uses.  Eric Bunker

Said he would amend the map and have the Mayor sign it.

Site Plan Resolution

Francis Smith asked if the Board could write a

Resolution about requiring site plan drawings with

The applications for building permits

Motion – Francis Smith

To recommend to the Town Council that

Accurate to scale site plans are required upon application for a building permit that

Includes:

Drainage course

Lot dimensions

Street location

Existing and proposed building and utility

Improvements

Existing and proposed location for septic

System

Existing and proposed access to driveways

To and from buildings

All setback measurements

Passed unanimously

Eric Bunker passed out a map for the Wal-Mart plan and

Recommendations for the Gun Club and Shooting Range.
