Daniel Planning Meeting Minutes

55 South 500 East, Heber City, UT
A quorum is present: Chairman Bunker and Commissioners Norris, Rawlings, Weight, Binkerd, Skinner and Grose were present.
Members of the public in attendance: Ryan Taylor of GDA Engineering, Chad Wood, Brittany Wood, Julie Ann Wood, Mark and Jamie McAllister, Shelly Bunker. Secretary Keary Stephens.
- Public comment concerning any item not on the Agenda.
- Storm Haven Sewer.
The present system is failing. Ryan Taylor of GDA Engineering has been researching different options to remedy the problem. Mr. Taylor presented to the Commission four different plans, their advantages and disadvantages. The rates need to go up to fix the system. We will be submitting an application for a bond at the first of the year.
- Chad Wood – Residential Building Permit.
He presented his ideas for a home and wanted to see if there would be any problem with it before he proceeded with it. The committee said that as long as it meets all the codes, they didn’t see any problems with it.
- Mark McAllister – Zone Change.
He has verbally withdrawn his application for a zone change.
- Shelly Bunker – Zone Change.
Public hearing set for September 11th, 2017 @ 6.00 PM.
- Brady Karren – Items for permit update.
Mr. Taylor sent them a check list. They had completed all but one item and as soon as they have completed it, they are good to go.
- David McCombs – Driveway lot removal questions.
Mr. McCombs is looking for a lot line adjustment. Pulled off agenda for council, they are not ready.
- Jon Blotter – Items for permit update.
We are still waiting for answers to all comments on his permit. He is building an addition and a covered deck.
- Private Road Standards – Council Directive.
Think about this for next month. Commissioner Binkerd moved to continue the discussion on Private Road Standards at the next Agenda. Commissioner Weight Seconded. Vote was unanimous. Motion carried.
10. 8.25 Home Business Update.
This has been emailed out to the planning commissioners.
- Boundary Adjustment Update.
This has been completed.
- Scott Kohler – Deck Permit/Complaint Update.
He is working on getting his permit.
- Deck Standard – Council Directive.
What type of decks would need a permit? There was a discussion on different types of decks. Commissioner Weight moved to continue to the next Agenda. Commissioner Binkerd Seconded it. Vote was unanimous. Motion carried.
14. Planner Report.
Fire restrictions – Town of Daniel needs to pursue on getting funds back. Ranch Road – gate is in and a lock is on it.
- Minute Approval of July 19, 2017
Commissioner Weight moved to approve the minutes of July 19, 2017. Commissioner Norris Seconded. The vote was unanimous. Motion carried.
- Motion to Adjourn.
Commissioner Grose moved to adjourn the meeting.
