Bid Invitation for Storm Haven Water Meter Replacement

NOTICE INVITING BIDS

Sealed bids for the Storm Haven Water Meter Upgrade 2015 project will be received at Epic Engineering, P.C., 50 E 100 S, Heber City, UT 84032 until Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned unopened.

Background and Work Required:

The Town of Daniel is seeking to upgrade approximately 53 residential water meters. The project involves removing existing meters and registers, in approximately 53 residential rigid meter setters, and replacing with owner supplied water meters and registers (Multi Jet Master Meters).

This project is funded in whole or in part by a grant through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The contractor will be required to comply with all federal labor standards and attendant laws, including the payment of the most current Davis-Bacon wages and persons and small businesses. Local, minority and woman owned business owners are encouraged to bid. The lowest responsible bidder will be selected.

Copies of the Contract Documents, Specifications and Plans will be available at the office of EPIC ENGINEERING, P.C., 50 East 100 South, Heber, UT 84032, (435) 654-6600 and 3341 South 4000 West, West Valley City, UT 84120 (801) 955-5605; beginning on Thursday, August 19, 2015 and are open for public inspection and use.

Those interested in having individual sets of Contract Documents, Specifications and Plans may obtain the Contract Documents, Specifications and Plans from EPIC ENGINEERING, P.C., 50 East 100 South, Heber, UT 84032, (435) 654-6600 or 3341 South 4000 West, West Valley City, UT 84120 (801) 955-5605, at a cost of twenty five dollars ($25.00). Acceptable payment for the above items include: cash, cashier’s check, credit card, or company check. Refunds for Contract Documents, Specifications and Plans will not be made.

Bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany each bid.

The Town of Daniel reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality in a bid or to withhold the Award for any reason the Town determines.
